This little village existed already in the Roman Ages, and in the VI century there was a religious community of Benedictine Order who changed the area with their agricultural activities. In the 1029 it belonged to Marches Udo D'Este, in the 1164 Federico Barbarossa gave it to the town of Pavia. After it belonged to Casata dei Fantoni from Pavia, and in the '700 to the family Masio from Fassano. From its vineyards you can produce mainly "Barbera" and "Bonarda", two wines emblem of Oltrepò Pavese. |
