The village was arleady exhisting during the Roman
Ages ( ruins founded in Croce di Sotto ).
In the Middle Ages its terrotory was the focus of 
bloody battles, in order to own it, between Piacentini 
and Pavesi. In the  1677 it belonged to  Count Galeazzo
Mandelli. In this village you can see a castle, repaired 
in the XVIII century, today it is a private home.
The vineyard, and the production of D.O.C. selectioned
wines as  " Barbera and Bonarda " are wtness of a 
century agricultural tradition. On the main road, near 
the cenctre of the village, the Parish Churchl dedicated
to S.S.MM. Cosma and Damiano.
