Little agrocoltural centre of Lomellina, since the origin 
of the 1000 it was the first frotify village, in order to 
defende itself from the barbaric invasions; during the
Longobardi Ages it was  low court under the will of
Lomello Counts.
The castle, that today is private propiety, with the 
wall and the tower represents one of the most 
beautiful exemple of Forte Longobardo, even if if 
has been changed several times in the years after
from the family Folperti at the beginning of 1400; 
and then from  Mirandola and Malaspina after.
Inside the castle lived famous guests, the King 
Massimiliano d' Austria, and the king Carl V.
