It is located in the nearby of the left side of the Po river,
and for its strategic position as a typical romanic village, 
during the century was theatre of battles and challenges, 
so that in the Middle Ages it was a little fortress village
owned by Palatini Conts of  Lomello who since 1024, 
banished from Pavia, changed it in a centre of the defence
for their colonies in lomellina. From the 1200 to the 1400, 
Frascarolo and its castle are the centre of lots of wars and 
in the 1404 destroyed by Facino Cane,  Visconteo leader.
It has been rebuilt in the 1512, and in the 1454 Sforza family 
 became the owner after a long years war against Marchesi del 
Monferrato. In the 1882 the last "renovation" projected by the 
dall'architect Luigi Vandone from Vigevano, who changed a part 
of it in a privite home for the will of the owner.
