Of ancient roots, from 1466 until the endof 1700 
it belonged to Marchesi di Fortunago discendents
of Malaspina (owner of the village since the
Middle Ages). 
The castle in front of the  main square has been
built around the 1534, perhaps under the will of
the family D'Adda. It is a sorte of fortress that 
mantains in the project design a renaissence style, 
with a scarp shape ground floor; today it is private 
proprerty, in a very good conditions.
