Built on a steps structure, and it is the only 
Cinque Terre village that has a castle built 
around the XV century in order to defence 
itself from the Saraceni. Today the castle 
is the centre of cultural events; characteristic 
is the parking of "gozzi " under the house, 
that with the only help of the arms are set 
into the sea in a little cove.
